TurnSignl Announces Leadership Transition as Company Enters Next Phase of Growth

Founding CEO Jazz Hampton passes the torch to Co-Founder and COO, Mychal Frelix

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (June 8, 2026) — TurnSignl, the on-demand legal platform that connects users to a live attorney during traffic stops, accidents, and immigration matters, today announced that Jazz Hampton is stepping down as Chief Executive Officer, effective June 12, 2026. Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer Mychal Frelix has been named Interim CEO by the company's Board of Directors.

Over the past five years, TurnSignl has evolved from an ambitious idea into a profitable, sustainable, and scalable enterprise with over 300,000 users and community members across all 50 states. As CEO, Hampton’s commitment to using innovation to improve access to legal support has led TurnSignl to become a leading voice in advancing safety, accountability, and equitable outcomes nationwide.

From the moment I joined as CEO in 2020, I believed in our mission and the opportunity to build something transformative,” said Hampton. “I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and I can think of no one better than Mychal to lead TurnSignl into its next phase of growth.”

As Founding Chief Operating Officer, Frelix has worked alongside Hampton since the company's inception and has been fundamental to building and scaling every core function of the business, from operations and partnerships to strategy and growth. He brings deep institutional knowledge and proven leadership to the interim CEO role.
